Sentinel Range Service got called into action to help an indoor PD range get back to %100

We received a call from a PD range in Wyoming to help them with some target repairs and trap cleaning. Behind the trap, there was lead dust everywhere! On top of the funnel plates, on the floor... everywhere. Also, they mentioned that a couple of the targets they had were not operating properly.

Our first order of business was to clean the dust off the trap and floors. Using an explosion proof HEPA vacuum, we started on top of the trap and worked our way to the bottom. We got almost 2 buckets of lead dust from the those areas alone. With the back room cleaned and spotless we moved to the front of the range to begin troubleshooting the targets. These targets just need some minor adjustments with the exception of lane 5. Lane 5 would not consistently operate and would occasionally stop working mid session. After a full teardown we discovered a pinch wire between the armor and the trolley housing that was causing the fault. We were basically getting lucky when it did operate. After some trimming and a reroute, we were able to get the target functional and working normally. Great day to be an SRS tech!
